Returns & Exchanges
Most items purchased from timbuk2.ca can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Returned goods must be in new, unused condition with all original tags. We will issue a refund to the original form of payment unless your order was a gift, which we will then refund back onto a gift card (see below for more information).
Please note that items in our Sale section and items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or store credit. Gift cards are not eligible for a refund.
HOW DO I EXCHANGE AN ITEM?
We are unable to offer exchanges at this time. Should you require an exchange, simply return the original item for a refund. You may purchase the replacement at your convenience, before or after you receive your refund.
WANT TO START A TIMBUK2.CA RETURN?
Not 100% in love with your bag? Start the return process! Please note that this process is only for orders placed on timbuk2.ca.
Ensure the items that you are returning are eligible for returns. Any clearance items, items marked Final Sale, or used products will not be refunded and will only be shipped back if a shipping fee is paid. Unsure if your item(s) are eligible for returns? Contact us.
- Ensure that the bag is eligible for returns and is new and unused, with the tags attached.
- Print and fill out the return form and include it with your bag.
- Mail out your bag to the address below. You can reuse the shipping bag your order came in. Do not fold the bag in half when shipping it back. Doing so damages the bag and the item will not be refunded and will only be shipped back to you if a shipping fee is paid.
Please note that you are responsible for shipping your order back to us. We regrettably are not responsible for any packages that get lost in transit.
Once received, we will issue a refund for your order within 1-2 business days. A confirmation email/text will be sent to the email address or phone number on file once the return process is completed. Note that it may take up to 15 business days for your bank or credit card company to release the money back to your account.
If you live close to our Toronto store, you may also return your order in store. Just make sure you have your order number (found in the order confirmation and packing slip) handy!
Please note that should an order be returned back to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, your order will be automatically refund less $15 for the cost of shipping and handling. If you need to correct your shipping address, please contact us ASAP and we will do our best to amend your address. Note that once your order is shipped, we unfortunately can't redirect or change the shipping address.
RETURNING A GIFTIf you received an item as a gift and would like to return it (we won't tell!), we can issue a digital gift card that can be used online and in store. For gift returns, please follow the instructions above for returning an item, but ensure that you check off YES on the return form in the section where it asks if you'd like for the refund to go back onto a gift card. Include the email where you'd like to receive your gift card. All gift cards are digital.

If you purchased your product from a third-party retailer or a website other than timbuk2.com or timbuk2.ca, please work directly with the original place of purchase for return options.
RECEIVED THE WRONG OR A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT?
If you received the wrong product in your timbuk2.ca shipment, or are missing something from your order, please contact us. To expedite a resolution, please indicate your order number, as well as the item that was shipped in error or was missing from your order. We will process a replacement shipment and provide return instructions if applicable as soon as possible.
If your product arrived defective from timbuk2.ca please contact us.
If you purchased our product another retailer, please reach out to the retailer who sold the bag for options.
PACKAGE LOST OR STOLEN?
Timbuk2 is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If your tracking information states that your package was delivered to your address and you have not received it, please open a service ticket with Canada Post here.
