Timbuk2 Lifetime Warranty

We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. All Timbuk2 bags come with a Lifetime Warranty when purchased directly from timbuk2.ca, timbuk2.com, our retail stores, or an authorized reseller.

If there’s a defect in materials or workmanship, we’ll repair the bag at our discretion. Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidental damage or abuse

  • Cosmetic issues that don’t affect functionality (like scratches or stains)

  • Loss of bag contents or time

Please note, apparel and accessories (hats, t-shirts, hoodies, etc.) are not covered by this warranty.

Each Timbuk2 bag is hand-sewn and may include subtle imperfections — part of the character that makes every bag unique.

Purchases Outside North America

If you bought your bag outside the U.S. or Canada, please contact us for your local warranty partner. Include proof of purchase and location details when submitting your claim. Shipping to and from the U.S. for international repairs is the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty & Repair Process (North America)

Step 1 – Start Your Claim
Submit your claim here. You’ll be redirected to our U.S. site (timbuk2.com) to complete the repair form. A repair number (e.g., W-123456) will be assigned; include it with your bag.

Step 2 – Send Us Your Bag
Ship your bag to the address in your confirmation email. Write your repair number clearly on the outside of the package AND include a print out of the confirmation email. Use an insured, trackable shipping method — we’re not responsible for lost parcels.

Please Note:
California law requires all repairs to arrive clean. If your bag needs cleaning, it will be returned without repair. For cleaning tips, see this Bag Care guide.

Step 3 – Evaluation & Repair
Once received, our team will assess your bag within 7–10 business days. We’ll determine whether it’s covered under warranty and if it can be repaired.

If the repair is not covered but possible, we can fix it for a $25 repair fee.

All repaired bags are returned with a $15 shipping fee.

Not sure if your bag qualifies for repair? Contact us — we’re happy to help.
